Students have a broad range of opportunities to participate in music-making at Discovery College. Choral and instrumental ensembles rehearse weekly and perform regularly at College assemblies and concerts. We also have an annual concert schedule that includes formal concerts as well as fun informal concerts around the college and spread throughout the academic year. The music department has excellent facilities for students to participate in student-directed bands or individual practice. There is a Recording Studio and Music Technology hardware for students to record and produce music as part of their curriculum units or student-led projects.

Instrumental music programme

There is an extensive instrumental music programme at the College, providing students access to lessons from experienced and quality peripatetic teachers at a competitive rate. Instrument hire is also available for a range of instruments. The demand for places is high and therefore families are encouraged to enrol early.
